Let’s face it, we are now living in a time when the majority of us are making short-term decisions to scale back our spending.  This week, a customer shopping at our Pearl Street store told me she could only afford one new shoe this season, and she asked for my advice.  Helping her make a decision was a breeze, because there is definitely one summer shoe we should all refresh every couple years.  And that shoe is the “little black sandal”  which I consider to be the shoe equivalent of the “little black dress.”  It is a seasonal shoe that every woman should have in her closet, and it is the perfect rescue option when you don’t know what else to put on your feet.  Regardless of the outfit, you can rest assured that when wearing a black sandal you are not unwittingly making a fashion mistake.  There are many types, shapes and sizes of the “little black sandal," but if you want one that will stand the test of time, please make sure it’s simple, comfortable and classic.
